We
invite you to Hidden Lake Retreat, a magical sanctuary of exquisite
beauty, for a day of Yin yoga, writing, and an organic mid-day meal.
In
the Fall, our bodies long to slow down and return to our own inner
landscape where deep stillness and wisdom reside. This sculpting of time
and space to be with our bodies and muse are essential for our
well-being as women. When we gift ourselves with a day to reconnect with
our very tissue, our hearts, and our voices, we are restored and
rejuvenated.
We will alternate between writing from the body and
practicing Yin yoga. Yin yoga is a deeply relaxing practice that
targets the connective tissue, which responds to slow, gentle,
persistent stretching. The benefits include increasing the range of
motion in the joints, and improving the flow of energy through the body.
When we allow ourselves to drop in, there is deep listening,
receptivity and healing. We return to our true nature. Please join us.
This workshop is limited to 10 participants. No writing or yoga experience is necessary.

Come learn the basics of astrology while learning about yourself. We'll use our own birth charts to explore the meaning of the planets, signs and houses, with a fun, hands-on approach.
This workshop is intended for complete beginners, and
those who have some astro-experience but want to deepen their knowledge
and skills.

Entering the Mystery, Entering the Dark combining Yin Yoga, Writing & Astrology at OmBase in SW Portland Saturday, October 23rd, 1:00-5:00pm, $45

The Sun moves into Scorpio today, and we officially enter the season of darkness. Come gather insight and inspiration for the journey inward.
Scorpio rules the Underworld -- what's hidden, mysterious, secret and taboo. Scorpio is also the sign of regeneration, ruling the principle of death and rebirth. Slow down and take time to listen to the voice of your body and inner world to discover what wants to be transformed, released and reborn.
In an atmosphere of acceptance and support, we'll alternate between Yin Yoga and personal writing. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissue of the body, which responds to slow, gentle, persistent stretching. While we're hanging out in the poses, Emily will share an astrological perspective on these fascinating times. We'll use writing as a tool for personal exploration and intuitive guidance.
